Our Philosophy

We always seem to remain in the intellect; we never come to the heart openly. And because the intellect is very calculating, we need spirituality to come to the heart. We are not saying that we should completely remove the intellect. We should have a discriminating intellect. We should be able to discriminate between truth and untruth. The most important ability one can foster is that of awareness. That is what seems to be lacking in our society today. Most are not self-aware within their own capacity so how can we expect them to become aware to those who surround them. Here within this small space we strive to increase awareness, understanding and humility. Guru means one who removes. We all need teachers and most times the one who really teaches us something of value is that person or experience that we would much rather forget. The most difficult situations in our lives in hindsight have taught us a great deal about ourselves and this is the reason why we may be stronger today. Be thankful not only to those who seem to help and guide you as brothers and friends but also to those who you feel are blocking your path, offering you resistance. As difficult as it may be to digest; our philosophy is to say thank you with humility. It is working through this resistance that will teach you ultimately who you are. So let truth guide you and let your guru be whomever or whatever you find to be resonating with your being.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate; our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us. Playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We were all meant to shine as children do. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same as we are liberated from our own fear. Our presence automatically liberates others.

When a flower is in the bud stage, we cannot see the colorful petals nor can we smell the fragrance. When it opens up we can see the petals and experience the sweet fragrance of that flower. Likewise we have this capacity within us; we have infinite capacity but at present we may be in a closed state of mind and body. Just like a flower we have to open up to new experiences that will assist in our growth. And that opening is possible through education, spiritual knowledge, understanding and awareness of people around us as one human race. We are all one. No one is a stranger to health.
